In this guide, we will look into the Nightmare Temple.

We will also learn about:

  • Basic Information

  • Themed Dungeons

  • Available Difficulty Settings

  • Affixes

  • Bonus Blessings

  • Rewards

Nightmare Temple

The Nightmare Temple will be unlocked as soon as you reach base level 90.

You need a five-player party of Lv.90 adventurers to challenge it. And there can be up to 2 adventurers with the same job in the party, depending on your party composition, but you need to have a DPS, a Healer, and a Tank.

Nightmare Temple UI

Dungeon Selection - This is where you can select and jump to your chosen themed dungeon to challenge. This is applicable if the previous themed dungeon/level is already completed.

Difficulty Settings - This is where you can select between difficulties to adjust to the challenge and acquire richer rewards.

Available Rewards - This is where you can see the list of rewards that you might get randomly for your selected difficulty.

Season Affix Preview - This is where you can see the list of Affixes or Debuffs for the season.

Difficulty Settings

The Nightmare Temple is divided into 4 difficulty levels: normal, hard, nightmare, and hell. And the current difficulty level of hell will be revealed in the upcoming updates.

Normal - This is the most basic setting, where you can have 10 resurrections for every run. This is where you can learn the gimmick and plan a strategy for higher difficulty. This is also where you can acquire blue and purple divine armaments that can help you challenge higher difficulties when moving forward.

Hard - Hard difficulty increases the challenge a bunch and needs more teamplay strategy, and the team should know each of the themed dungeon mechanics. You will have 5 resurrections per level.

Nightmare - This difficulty increases the challenge by a notch, so everyone needs to pay attention, know the mechanics, and have a solid strategy. You will only have 3 resurrections per level.

Hell - The challenge is now increased by a ton for this difficulty. As the name suggests, the run will be really difficult. You must have a fully equipped party, perfect the mechanics and strategy, and know the timing of each gimmick. You are only given 3 resurrections for this difficulty.

Themed Dungeon

There're five available dungeons/levels that you can challenge. You can check the themed Dungeon Boss's race, element, and size to plan ahead of time.

Grom - Earth Element, Large Size, Formless Race

Wendine - Water Element, Large Size, Brute Race

Salamander - Fire Element, Medium Size, Formless Race

Sylph - Wind Element, Medium Size, Demi-Human Race

Elemental Master - Ghost Element, Large Size, Demon Race

The Rewards

As the difficulty increases, the rewards will also increase.

The Normal mode reward drops items, including Weapon Box I & II, Blue/Purple Armor, Shield, Mantle, and Boots, randomly.

The Hard mode now includes a Weapon Box III (Purple), Orange Shield, Boots, Armor, and Mantle.

The Nightmare mode now includes a chance to get a [Mount: Ghost Cat] and the drops now start from Blue quality to Orange quality, with a chance to get a Red quality.

The Hell mode drops are similar to nightmare mode but have more chances to get Red quality.

Dungeon rewards are given five times a day, and each level is limited to one reward.

After repeating the same level or receiving five rewards, the system will force you to participate in the assisting mode.

Rewards are automatically distributed to the Backpack, with no additional manual collection required.

The dungeon drops random color/quality Divine Armament selectable boxes, with Divine Armaments ranging from Blue to Red. These divine armaments have random stats, and the Divine Trait range is also random.

Number of Divine Stats

Blue Divine Armament: comes with 1 Divine Trait (attribute color: green/blue)

Purple Divine Armament: comes with 2 Divine Traits (attribute color: green/blue/purple)

Orange Divine Armament: comes with 3 Divine Traits (attribute color: green/blue/purple/red)

Red Divine Armament: comes with 4 Divine Traits (attribute color: green/blue/purple/red)

The attributes may also be empty attributes, and additional Infusion is required.

Divine Trait

As the dungeon's challenge level increases, you must respond by upgrading the divine trait of your armament. You can always check the recommended stats and refinement for each level.

In addition, higher difficulty requires certain stats for you to survive or sustain your damage. For example, for a hard difficulty, Grom needs at least 56 Penetration and 37 Resilience.

These stats can be acquired from the Divine Traits that randomly drop from challenging the temple.

Affixes

Each dungeon has fixed Affixes/Debuff and selectable Affixes for each difficulty level.

You can enter the dungeon only when the dungeon Affixes level requirements are met, and among them, the selectable features are randomly updated every week.

The Affixes are the debuffs that are added to increase the challenge of each dungeon.

It is required to select a certain number of affixes, to meet the required affixes level.

There will be locked affixes that you cannot change.

However, there are selectable affixes that you can choose from.

Blessing Bonus

On the other hand, you can add blessing effects that you can use in battle. The blessings are similar in the Battle of Yggdrasil dungeon.

The available Blessing Bonuses are as follows:

The Gameplay

Inside the dungeon, the Damage and Defensive values will be reduced if you do not reach a certain Affixes value.

In addition, each dungeon theme/level boss uses different skills that vary in range, damage, and element.

Alright, that's it for the Temple of Nightmare.

May this dungeon teach you shot-calling and strengthen your teamwork.
