Pet System

The Pet System is a crucial component that aids and supports our characters in various combat scenarios, including farming, dungeon runs, and PvP battles. Unlocking the Pet System occurs when a character reaches Base Level 22. As the character's Base Level progresses, the option to activate additional pets becomes available. At any given time, a maximum of four pets can be active simultaneously, providing valuable assistance to the character.

Upon reaching Base Level 55, players have the ability to assign pets to the Assist slot. In this slot, pets cannot be summoned for active use in battles, but they contribute their attributes and enhance the character's overall power. By placing pets in the Assist slot, players can view their respective attributes, and the effects of these attributes can be previewed using the Stat Preview icon. This allows players to assess the impact of the pet's attributes on their character's overall stats before making the final decision.

Pet Levels

In Ragnarok Origin, pets have various levels. The higher the level, the more powerful the pet is compared to lower-level pets. Pets are divided into 4 levels as follows:

  1. S Level Pets (Red) are high-level pets with very good characteristics. Currently, there are a total of 4 pets that can be obtained by using gacha, including Ghost Samurai, Antasha Model, Earth Lord, and Dunell.

  1. A Level Pets (Gold) are lower-level pets compared to S Level pets. They possess some characteristics that can be used as substitutes for S Level pets if they have been developed to higher levels.

  2. B Level Pets (Purple) are pets that can be obtained through both Normal and Legendary Pet Summoning gachas, making it relatively easier to find and develop pets at this level.

  3. C Level Pets (Blue) are the easiest to obtain. They can be obtained through both Normal and Legendary Pet Summoning gachas, making it the easiest level to find and develop pets. However, their characteristics are not as good as pets of higher levels.

Pet Types:

Pets in Ragnarok Origin can be divided into two types: Physical Attack pets and Magic Attack pets.

Physical Attack Pets: These pets rely on physical attacks. To increase their attack power, you need to enhance their STR stat and equip them with items that boost physical ATK.

Magic Attack Pets: These pets rely on magic attacks. To increase their attack power, you need to enhance their INT stat and equip them with items that boost magical MATK.

In addition to pets having the ability to attack physically or magically, they can also be categorized based on their attack styles, such as Single Attack, AOE Attack, and Support. It is essential to choose a pet that is suitable for your character's class and matches well with the monsters you intend to farm.

Pets Summoning

"Pet Gacha" or "Pet Summoning" allows us to randomly obtain pets, and we can choose 2 desired pets from the Wishlist. Each pet has different characteristics and is suitable for different professions. There are two levels of pet summoning:

  1. Normal Pet Summoning: It is a random summoning that guarantees obtaining an A-grade (Gold) pet every 60 attempts. To perform this summoning, pet coupons are required.

  2. Legendary Pet Summoning: It is a random summoning that guarantees obtaining an S-grade (Red) pet every 120 attempts. To perform this summoning, Super Pet Coupons are required.

Regardless of the summoning level, there is a chance to obtain B-grade (Purple) and C-grade (Blue) pets as well.

In addition to obtaining pets, regardless of their grade, the Pet Gacha also rewards you with Poring Coins. These coins can be used to exchange for special pets that can not be obtained through regular summoning. Alternatively, you can use Poring Coins to purchase Pet Level-Up Books or Joker Card Fragments to upgrade the Tier of your pets. Pet Training

The development of a pet will strengthen it and also provide permanent stat bonuses to our character. Here are some guidelines for pet development:

  1. Pet Leveling: To level up your pet, you need to use Pet Leveling Books. These books can be obtained from HH Dungeon and Battle of Yggdrasil. Leveling up your pet will improve its overall attributes, such as P.ATK, M.ATK, P.DEF, M.DEF, and more.

  2. Pet Tier Upgrading: To upgrade your pet's tier, you need to collect Pet Fragments of the desired pet. You can obtain Pet Fragments by spinning the Gacha to get duplicate pets. When your pet reaches a higher tier, it will gain increased abilities and enhance the effectiveness of its skills.

Adjusting Pet Stats

Each pet in the game has its own inherent stats. For example, physical-based pets would focus on physical attack power, represented by the STR stat, while magic-based pets would prioritize magical attack power, represented by the INT stat. Adjusting a pet's stats involves randomizing them using an item called Spirit Dew, which can be obtained from Elfheim Dungeon, Yggdrasil Dungeon, or purchased from the RO Shop.

In addition, there is a chance to obtain Starred Stats when randomizing pet stats. Starred Stats indicate that the stats are at a higher level. There are two levels of Starred Stats:

  1. Full-Star: Represented by a rainbow-colored star, indicating that the stats are at a very high level.

  2. Half-Star: Represented by a brown-colored star, indicating that the stats are at a high level.

Furthermore, each randomization of stats also has a chance to obtain additional Golden Stats, which are the 7th stat. The potential Golden Stats and their chances are as follows:

  • ASPD (Attack Speed): 3-8% increase.

  • Skill Cooldown: 4-10% decrease.

  • Ignore P.DEF/M.DEF: 3-8% increase.

  • Critical Rate: 4-10 points increase.

  • Critical Damage: 3-8% increase.

  • Damage Reduction (Physical/Magical): 2.5-8% decrease.

  • Elemental Damage (Wind/Earth/Fire/Water/Neutral): 3-8% increase.

  • Max HP: 3-8% increase.

  • Elemental Damage Reduction (Fire/Wind/Water/Earth/Neutral): 3.5-10% decrease.

Which status a pet should focus on depends on the type of pet and its intended role?
