Sage / Professor is a profession that excels in single-target DPS, capable of inflicting serious damage. Besides, they also perform well in PvP, especially in modes with fewer players such as 5v5, where they can truly shine. With their ability to inflict heavy damage on single enemies, they are a suitable choice for hunting MVP bosses or for grinding. Sages can also create and sell elemental scrolls.

What we should know about Sage / Professor

1. The Sage/Professor profession primarily focuses on single-target attacks, with a limited range of skills.

2. Sage/Professor can craft and sell Element Scrolls, which allow users to deliver attacks on the element they have imbued.

3. Many skills of this profession are based on Max SP, so apart from MATK, SP is another factor that affects many skills.

Recommended Build for Sage / Professor

Triple Bolt Build

If you enjoy dealing intense and continuous damage, the Triple Bolt path is one that can deliver powerful and persistent damage. This path allows you to inflict severe damage by using various elemental Bolt skills consecutively up to 3 times, thanks to the Double Casting skill and the effect of the Triple Casting cogwheel. The Triple Casting allows us to cast Bolt 3 additional times. It's fair to say that without it, our damage would significantly decrease. The gameplay is not complicated, you simply lay out the elemental ground and use the elemental Bolt to attack the chosen target.

For basic equipment, Elemental Source is recommended for weapons to enhance the damage of various Bolt skills. For off-hand, the Book of Lies is suggested. For other slots, the Magic Master set is recommended. For accessories, it is suggested to find those that increase MATK and SP to boost the character's damage.

Auto Spell Build

This is a build that deals intense damage through various Bolt skills. It becomes highly efficient after upgrading to 3rd job because it gets the Auto Cast skill. The main gameplay involves activating Auto Cast > Chant Mastery > laying down the desired elemental skill on the ground, then normal attacking. After that, our normal attacks have a chance to deal damage according to the element of the skill we applied on the ground.For Auto Spell gear, it's recommended to use the Elemental Set for weapons. As for protection, Sprint or Rider's Suit is recommended. For accessories, it is suggested to find items that increase MATK and Max SP to boost character damage. If some believe they lack a considerable amount of ASPD, they may seek to invest into this aspect as well.

PVP mode for Sage

The arrival of Sage has had a significant impact on PVP, especially in large-scale battles like Guild League or War of Emperium. This is because the profession has the Earth Element Domain skill, which makes almost all AoE skills unusable. In addition, it has the Chant Removal skill to increase casting speed and Dispel to remove buffs from the opposing side.

Element Scroll

Element Scroll is a special item that a Sage / Professor can craft. Once activated, it provides a buff to the user for 300 seconds, transforming non-elemental attacks into the element of the used scroll. The available elements are Earth, Water, Wind, and Fire. A few key points to note are: 1. Wizards with the Magic Crasher build can attack with different elements. 2. ADL Snipers can have their birds attack with various elements. 3. Bard / Gypsy with the Fantasy Rhapsody skill can attack with different elements. 4. The buff times do not stack, so you need to activate it repeatedly. If you activate it again before the time runs out, the timer will reset.Finally, Sage/Professor class is suitable for players who particularly enjoy boss hunting as they can deal intense damage to single targets. They also perform well in PvP scenarios. However, they may not stand out in large-scale battles compared to classes with numerous AoE skills.
